Bob Schumacher is one of our members who loves to hunt for old boats and restore them. After recently finishing the restoration of “Vagabond,” a 42’ 1910 cruiser built at the Speedway Shipyard by what would become Consolidated, he has focussed his efforts on his 1935 23’ Hacker Triple cockpit runabout. He welcomed us to his shop where we gathered to see his progress on the Hacker. Bob described his work thus far and took questions from the group. Although “Vagabond” was in storage, Bob had a couple of laptops set up showing slides of her restoration stages. Below are pictures of the event.
