This location, a little further north than our usual meeting places turned out to be a real gem. Fred Woodward arranged this rendezvous which is located in his neck of the woods. Located on the NY shore on Point au Roche, Moony Bay is a large and well run marina, with a beautiful lakeside bar and grill, a restaurant, and many other amenities. The 15 of us got our meals at the same time and the food was delicious! The weather was cloudy and calm, and folks cruised from as far south as Shelburne Bay. Chaz Link cruised up from there accompanied by a friend, Deedee, in his recently launched 25’ Lyman hardtop Cruisette, “Drake”. Holly, John and Emilie Weber towed their new fiberglass boat to Mallets Bay and put in there, cruising alongside Ed Bombard. Emilie Weber rode with Ed aboard the “Wild Rose” both ways. We were lucky to have chapter members Bob and Barbara Woodard who were visiting from Lake Bomoseen join us in their lovely little Glastron. Dana and I left early as it looked like we were going to get rain, but in the end it was just a few stray raindrops. Below are photos courtesy of Holly and Emily Weber, scroll through using the left and right arrows. These photos are fantastic, enjoy!
